Fun Fact: My boyfriend and I have a California King Snake named Erebos who is about 2 and a half years old and almost three and half feet long! Also insects are amazing animals, take the science GE "Insects and Human Society" and be amazed!

Executive Board List of Duties
President: Oversees all chapter activities
- Plans agenda and goals for the year
- Organizes and facilitates all meetings
- Represents the chapter at various University and art education related events
- Directs officers and members in the implementation of goals/agenda
- Responsible for all funds (in partnership with the treasurer)
- Is in constant contact and communication with executive board, student chapter advisors, and national student
chapter representatives
- Oversees maintenance of all communication devices for chapter (Facebook, email, website)
- Submits charter to University Student Association every semester
Vice President: Works closely with President and members on all chapter activities
- Assumes duties of President if unavailable
- Assists President on implementation of goals/agenda
- Maintains communication devices for chapter (Facebook, email, website)
Treasurer: Student Chapter Accountant
- Records all financial data in a clear and accessible way
- Works closely with President when requesting funding for all workshops and events
- Remains organized and up to date on chapter events
- Represents NAEA at SA Budget and Financing meetings- when needed
Secretary: Chapter communication specialist
- Records meeting minutes and distributes to officers
- Drafts professional notes and letters for student chapter
Information Officer: Public relations
- Responsible for creating vivid and eye catching fliers to inform student body of upcoming workshops and
meetings
- Maintains SA Graphics account
- Updates NAEA Bulletin board regularly
- Maintains active communication with President and Vice President
Library Outreach/Volunteer Coordinator:
- Organizes volunteers to participate in various volunteer opportunities
- Maintains contact with participating organizations, libraries, groups who we work with
- In charge of planning all volunteer opportunities
- Maintains close communication with President and Vice President of chapter
Fieldtrip Coordinator:
- Organizes 2-3 art/art education related fieldtrips per semester for the student chapter
- Works together with the treasurer to ensure that substantial funding is available for members.
Council of Organizations Representative:
- Attends the bi-weekly Student Association Council of Organization meetings, signs in chapter, and takes notes.
Of course there are many other responsibilities that go along with being an e-board office, but these are the basics. Being a student chapter officer is ling adding a few hours to your weekly workload. Do you have time to devote to the chapter? All prospective officers should be team players and enthusiastic about art education overall! Holding an officer position is an enormous opportunity, and one that will aid you in your career as an art educator.
